2.4 FIRE WARDENS

FIRE WARDENS SUMMARY

Ground Floor : 3 First Floor : 4

Second Floor : 3 Administration Area: 2 Head Fire Warden : 1 1. The designated fire wardens will sweep through the building to ensure no one has been left behind. 2. Ensure that all doors need to be securely shut in the event of any evacuation. 3. Never open a door if you suspect that there may be a fire beyond it. If in doubt, check the door with the back of your hand. 4. If you encounter any person present, they should be instructed to evacuate immediately. All visitors and members of the public should be ushered to an exit – not just pointed in the general direction of one. 5. Do not delay your own evacuation if you encounter somebody who refuses to leave 6. Fire wardens should immediately contact and report any non-conformities to Head Fire Warden 7. If a training drill, the Incident Control Officer will ensure that the gates are securely locked again. 8. Fire alarm panels will be managed by Ramesh Bambila & Pravinbhai Chamar 2.5 ERT: EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM

2.6 INCIDENT CONTROL OFFICER 1. Identify location of accident or emergency and its potential 2. Ensure the alarm has been raised where necessary and the emergency services have been called. 3. Where possible clear and cordon off the area. 4. Ensures all personnel are evacuated. 5. Inform School Principal/Vice Principal/School Manager/ Snr. Nurse. 6. Liaise with the Emergency services/Management/Principal to ensure their instructions are being implemented.
