SCHOOL POLICY MANUAL-2024-2025
Own Transport Students from Key Stage 4 & Sixth Form are permitted to get mobile phones, provided they get permission from KSH & follow the guidelines given under the mobile phone policy. Students using the school bus are not allowed to get phones to school. We appreciate the cooperation of students, parents, and staff in upholding these guidelines for the benefit of our school community. But if for unavoidable reasons a student needs to carry a mobile phone the following process is followed 1. The parent sends a mail to the Head of Year and Head of Key Stage. 2. The KSH decides whether the student can be permitted to get the phone depending on the need for the mobile. 3. The student fills up the mobile phone form and gets the signatures from the HOS & the KSH 4. Carry the signed form daily in the student planner 5. Hand over the phone to the Form tutor during Registration & collect it back during the Re - registration. 6. The student needs to know and confirm that he/she cannot use the phone in the school premises Consequences of Violation • If found to have the phone without having permission, the phone will be confiscated, and the parent will be called to meet the HOS. The phone will only be returned to the parent. • If the student has permission to bring the phone & is found using the phone in the school premises/does not hand over the phone to their Form Tutor, the phone will be confiscated, and the parent will be called to meet the HOS. The phone will only be returned to the parent. • If photos of teachers, students, or staff are found on a confiscated phone, the student will be given a warning letter on first instance, and severe actions based on the behaviour policy ladder will be taken. Bag Checks Policy Ensuring a safe and secure learning environment is a top priority for our school. To uphold this commitment, we have a bag-checking policy designed to maintain the safety, discipline, and well being of all students and staff. Rationale: 1. Safety and Security: The primary reason for bag checks is to prevent the possession of prohibited or dangerous items, ensuring a secure school environment. 2. Prevention of Unauthorized Items: This policy helps deter students from bringing items that may disrupt the learning environment, such as electronic gadgets, banned substances, or inappropriate materials.
