SITUATIONS FOR EVACUATION
1. Fire The driver can give signal to evacuate the bus if there is a sudden fire, spark or smoke arising from any part of the bus. The driver can also signal this when the bus is overheated. Once the driver gives a verbal command of vacate the bus attendant should immediately start the evacuation process. 2. Mechanical Problem Evacuation can be done if there is any mechanical problem in the bus such as breakdown, malfunction, battery issue or any other problem. This problem can arise on the exterior as well as the interior of the bus. 3. Crash / Accident The driver can immediately signal evacuation if the Bus has met with an accident or a crash in order to avoid any further threat or injury to the children on board. The bus attendant must assist the driver to carry out safe evacuation of all the on board passengers. 4. Weather related issues Weather related issues such as heavy rainfall, floods, heavy winds, sandstorm, etc. in such situations at the discretion of the driver, he might signal to evacuate the bus in the interest of the students.
