Note: Weekend Homework will be uploaded on the Parent Portal and worksheets in subjects will be sent to students in O365. Non- comple�on or submission of homework: Teachers are expected to monitor the comple�on and �mely submission of homework by students. Those students who fail to complete tasks will be sanc�oned as per list below. The following hierarchy of ac�on gives an example of appropriate sanc�ons for KS3.  First offence: Reprimanded by subject teacher  Second offence: Form Tutor sanction  Third offence: HOY sanction  Fourth offence: KSH/HOS Detention Key Stage Four: At IGSCE the amount of �me devoted to homework and independent study will vary according to the student's program of learning. While teachers may provide students with addi�onal work relevant to their learning which the student may undertake at home, students during this phase should generally be independent learners exercising their own judgement. As a guide:  homework should involve a min of 6-9 hours for IGSCE students per week (or as much time spent in private study as classroom instruction).  Students are expected to complete homework by the assigned due date.  If a student is absent from school due to illness or another legal reason, the student is expected to complete the assignment according to teacher guidelines. Types of homework at IGCSE may include, but are not limited to:  Assignments for practice or review of class work (either given in the Student Planner or uploaded on the School Parent Poral)  Review for tests or exams  Research activities  Reading and/or writing assignments (either given in the Student Planner or uploaded on the School Parent Portal)  Projects – individual and group activities Sixth Form ( Key Stage Five) Sixth Form students are expected to act as independent and self-disciplined students and learners. Sixth Form students are expected in an average week to be engaged in studying outside class �me (either on work set by a class teacher or on independent study) for 15 hours per week. It is the responsibility of students to record homework accurately and clearly in their daily planner at the �me it is set, together with the date by which it is to be completed.
