The Special Educa�onal Needs Coordinator is responsible for: • Iden�fica�on and tes�ng of candidates, requirements for access arrangements. • Provision of addi�onal support – with spelling, reading, mathema�cs, dyslexia or essen�al skills, hearing impairment, English for speakers of other languages, IT equipment – to help candidates achieve their course aims. Lead invigilator/invigilators are responsible for: • Collec�on of exam papers and other material from the exams officer before the start of the exam. • Collec�on of all exam papers in the correct order at the end of the exam and their return to the exams office. Candidates are responsible for: • Confirma�on and signing of entries. • Understanding coursework regula�ons and signing a declara�on that authen�cates the coursework as their own. Exam series • Internal exams are scheduled in December, March, April and May/June. Assessments are carried out throughout the year. The Head of Primary/Secondary along with the Head of Key Stage is responsible for administering these exams. • External exams are scheduled in May and June. Timetable Once confirmed, the exams officer will circulate the exam �metable for external exams and Head of Primary/Secondary for the internal exams. Entries, entry details and late entries The centre does not accept entries from external candidates. Entry deadlines are circulated to Subject Leaders via email, no�ce board. Late entries are authorised by Head of Centre (Principal). Exam fees Candidates will not be charged for changes of �er, withdrawals made by the proper procedures or altera�ons arising from administra�ve processes provided these are made within the �me allowed by the awarding bodies. Exam fees, late entry or amendment fees, re-sit fees are paid by the candidate. Con�ngency planning Con�ngency planning for exams administra�on is the responsibility of the Head of Primary/Secondary and Examina�on Officer. Predicted grades Subject Leaders and subject teachers are responsible for submi�ng es�mated grades to the exams office when requested by the exams officer. Malprac�ce The Head of Centre (Principal) is responsible for inves�ga�ng suspected malprac�ce.
