COUNSELLING POLICY
The aim for counselling service at Al Diyafah High School is to provide a safe and nurturing environment in a private and confiden�al se�ng to address and explore the difficul�es or distress experienced by a student, with the goal of enhancing wellbeing. The Counsellor within the school provides an immediate on- site response to students that require addi�onal support. When assessing a child, it is important to iden�fy if they are a ‘child in need’ or a ‘child at risk.’ Role of a school counsellor: • To be empathetic, patient, and compassionate with excellent listening and problem-solving skills. • Practices within the boundaries of individual professional competence. • Adheres to ethical standards of the profession and relevant guidelines established by the UAE government and regulatory organizations.
