Inclusion Inclusive Provision: Schools shall ensure that the Safeguarding Lead works closely with the Wellbeing Commitee, Head of Inclusion, School Counsellor, Health & Safety Officer as well as other relevant stakeholders (e.g., teachers, parents) to promote the safeguarding and security of all students. We shall ensure that the safeguarding prac�ces and associated policies and ini�a�ves take into account the individual needs, communica�on and behaviour styles, and engagement of students with addi�onal learnin g needs, in line with KHDA guidelines.

Process for the escala�on of safeguarding disclosures : Safeguarding Disclosure

At Al Diyafah High School, the process for the escala�on of safeguarding disclosures is designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. When a safeguarding concern or disclosure is made, it is first reported to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) or a memb er of the safeguarding team. The DSL will assess the disclosure, gather necessary informa�on, and determine the level of urgency. If the situa�on requires immediate aten�on, the DSL will escalate it to the relevant authori�es, such as child protec�on services or law enforcement. In cases of less immediate concern, the DSL will collaborate with the school's leadership and ensure that appropriate ac�ons are taken, such as suppor�ng the affected individual and addressing the issue within the school. Throughout the process, confiden�ality is maintained, and all ac�ons are recorded in line with the school's safeguarding policies. The escala�on procedure aims to create a swi�, thorough, and responsive system to protect students while ensuring that all disclosures are taken seriously and addressed appropriately.
