PARENT COUNCIL GUIDELINES At Al Diyafah High School (ADHS), parental involvement is welcomed and recognized as essen�al in developing a strong partnership between parents and the School. • Parent Council (PC) work with the Principal and the school Leadership to build effec�ve partnership and coopera�on between home and School. • Create a neutral social and cultural community. • Support programme of social ac�vi�es for parents with consulta�on and in accordance with the Principal and the School Management Team. • Support the School on community service events where any Parents are a welcome addi�on regardless of professional qualifica�ons. • To broaden the knowledge of the variety of socio- cultural and environmental ac�vi�es available within the community and organize events to raise awareness. • Suppor�ng the School during social/fund -raising/Alumni events • Parent informa�on events/ Library/book events • Assist School leadership in traffic control ini�a�ves. • Volunteering to work in classrooms Elected Parent Council Members Parent Council members must be parents of children who are currently enrolled in the School and have completed all formali�es. Parent Council elected member; maximum tenure is two years. Mee�ng • Three meetings will be held during the academic year, and attendance is compulsory for its elected members. • Three formal notices will be sent to all members and CC to PC email. • Agenda items proposed will be circulated using the PC email ten working days before the appointed date. The final agenda is confirmed and circulated five working days before the specified date. • Minutes will be circulated to all members / School Management. Point of Co- ordina�on The principal will be the key contact point for the Parent Council regarding mee�ngs and events . Parent Council Email Parent Council Email is allocated for internal use only within the PC members and between the School. This email auto forwards to School Management and to be used to send in message/request All external communica�on for PC ac�vi�es must be done using the school official emails/broadcast channel. Social Media & Branding Policy PC and its members must be fully aware of the school policy on social media and school Branding policy.

What the Parent council cannot do:

• PC is not a forum for complaints.
